Spring Rising

On the first sunrise of Spring I found this scene outside my front door, across the wheat field. As all the snow from earlier in the week had just about melted there was plenty of moisture in the air for fog formation. While I am always drawn to the photographic possibilities of fog, I could not pass up these fantastic clouds.

Old Man Winter Saves Best for Last

Despite it having been a snowy winter, it has not been one with snow blanketing the trees. Until yesterday.

Made a couple of visits to the local pond; Before work and during lunch. The lower, protected areas were better than I could have hoped for. This is what I have been waiting for all winter.

Captured with NikonD800, 80-400 with Vari-ND for a 30 sec exposure.

Winter is not quite done yet

It was 70 degrees yesterday, but hold your horses! The forecast is for several inches of snow after midnight.

Here is another old tractor from this winter.
